100 Reasons Why

Music is so much more than simply notes on a page.  Research continues to show how music positively affects the brain at every age: strengthening cognitive abilities, enhancing language development, and fostering social bonds. We have seen this first hand ourselves both in classrooms and in our community — and we know many of you have too.

When people share real experiences, something powerful happens.  A personal moment — the first time you picked up an instrument, the joy of playing with others, a time when music lifted your spirits — can resonate deeply with someone else. These stories help others understand not just what we do, but why it matters.
